Awards

The Theory Mechanisms and Machines is a basis for the development of innovations in the knowledge of machines, in the technical science and education, as well as in the engineering praxis. That is why Boltzmann not without a reason says that nothing is more practical than a good theory. Not accidentally, two members of the Department (Prof. DSc M. Milkov and Prof. DSc V. Galabov) have been listed as "Distinguished Inventors of Bulgaria" in the Golden Book of the Patent Office, and seven others (among them Corr. Memb. Prof. DSc V. Jhivkov
and Prof. DSc S. Pavlov) have received an award for Invention of the Month (February 1985). In 2004, three members of the department were awarded an Honorary Diploma and a Silver Sign of Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA). Two members of the Department have been distinguished by the award "Young Engineer" of the Federation of Scientific Unions (2006 and 2011), and two others have been honored with the awards "Young inventor" (2006) and "Young Scientist" (2006) of the Foundation “Eureka”.
